ON SEPTEMBER 28, 2024, DURING THE GALA CONCERT OF THE STICHTING CHOPIN FOUNDATION

Vice-President Mrs. Josée Deriu and Administrator Mr. Baudouin Theunissen were awarded the Medal “ORDER OF CULTURAL MERIT” by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Poland for their contribution to the development of the Stichting Stiftung Chopin Foundation.

The Honorary President of the Stichting Stiftung Chopin Foundation, Knight Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, was awarded the Medal “ORDER OF CULTURAL MERIT” by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Poland for his exceptional contribution and support to young musical talents.

Honorary Consul Mr. Jean-Charles Wibo was awarded the “BENE MERITO” Decoration by the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his contribution to strengthening Belgian-Polish economic relations in Belgium.

Founding President Mrs. Chantal Lobert was awarded the “GOLDEN CROSS OF MERIT” by the President of the Republic of Poland for her exceptional dedication to the cultural influence of Poland through her work with the Stichting Stiftung Chopin Foundation.

A l’occasion des 15 ans de la Fondation Chopin, Son Excellence l’Ambassadeur de Pologne Artur Harazim a remis à Madame Chantal Lobert, Madame Josée Deriu et Monsieur Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden la décoration « Médaille d’honneur Bene Merito », décernée au nom du gouvernement polonais.

Cette marque de reconnaissance symbolise les liens étroits entretenus entre la Fondation, l‘Ambassade et les représentants de la communauté polonaise.

En 2006, grâce au soutien de SEM Iwo Byczewski, Mesdames Chantal LOBERT, Présidente et Micheline BRICLET, Trésorière, ont été décorées de la médaille de bronze du “Mérite Culturel Polonais GlORIA ARTIS”, décernée par le Ministre de la Culture et du Patrimoine National de la République de Pologne.

SEM Iwo Byczewski, ambassadeur de Pologne auprès du Royaume de Belgique, a remis les décorations au cours d’une réception à l’ambassade de Pologne qui a réuni les invités, administrateurs et amis de la Fondation Chopin.

L’ambassadeur a évoqué les activités de la Présidente et de la Trésorière, membres fondateurs de la fondation Chopin Wallonie-Bruxelles, et reconnu les mérites pour promouvoir la culture musicale polonaise et soutenir des jeunes talents polonais et belges.

Un encouragement à poursuivre un mécénat culturel qui débuta en 1999. Les bénéficiaires de cette distinction honorifique ont tenu, dans leurs remerciements a associer les administrateurs, amis et mécènes de la fondation à cet hommage du mérite culturel polonais.

Grâce au soutien de SEM Jan Wojciech Piekarski, le travail accompli par la Fondation Chopin a été récompensé, par l’intermédiaire de sa Présidente fondatrice, Chantal Lobert qui a été décorée en 2001 de l’ordre du “Mérite Culturel” décerné par le Ministre de la Culture de la République de Pologne.
